Victoria Stansfield of Great Britain decisively claimed victory at L’Étape du Tour Femmes avec Zwift on Thursday 06 August, climbing to her second consecutive title atop the Giant of Provence, Mont Ventoux, in 03:36:12.
The route began in Vaison-la-Romaine, covering 111.7km with 2,950 metres of elevation gain through the Baronnies, the Rhône Valley vineyards and the Dentelles de Montmirail, before the riders approached Ventoux from the popular Bédoin side, an ascent of 15.7km at an average gradient of 8.8 percent. Riding for Team Materiel-Velo.com, Stansfield held off Germany’s Emily Harrop, who crossed 11 minutes 12 seconds behind, while France’s Lucile François finished third, 13 minutes 1 second back. Stansfield placed an impressive 26th overall from a field of more than 5,000 riders, including 1,002 women.
Stansfield’s victory extends a breakout season on the amateur circuit. The Briton, a top-level trail runner based in Chamonix and an international triathlete with a 2h 41m marathon personal best, only took up bike racing in 2025, immediately claiming the inaugural L’Étape du Tour Femmes title on the Col de la Madeleine. This year she has been nearly unstoppable, winning the four-stage Campilaro in the Pyrenees, securing a second L’Étape du Tour crown in July, and dominating La Marmotte Granfondo Alpes, where she finished 47th overall.
Thibaut Clément took the men’s race honours in 03:13:37 to give Team Materiel-Velo a clean sweep of the top podium steps. Benjamin Buchetet was second by 12.56 seconds, with Arthur Blanc finishing third another 3 minutes back.
The professional peloton tackles the same Bédoin ascent on Friday, during Stage 7 of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
