Amateur road cyclists kicked-off the 2021 UCI Gran Fondo World Series on Saturday 6 February in Ballarat, Australia by qualifying 108 riders to participate in the UCI Gran Fondo World Championship next September in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Although coronavirus risk limited the field to 500 riders on a course only 1/3 as long as the World Championship course, the competition was intense as riders tried to earn a ticket to the Worlds by finishing in the top 20% of their age category.

Listed below are riders who successfully qualified to race at the World Championships based on preliminary results.  Complete UCI Granfondo Australia results are available here.
