Everything is bigger in Texas and last Saturday at high noon the big guns of Texas gravel racing showed up in the town of Hamilton for the inaugural Billy The Kid Gravel Fondo.

On a gritty 70-mile gravel course through the windswept hills of Central Texas, fearless riders battled 35mph winds, washboard roads covered in marble buckshot and each other.
It was a classic Texas shootout.

At the end of the day, after the dust settled, elite category 1 road racer Corey Ray (Team Cadence Cyclery) was the last man standing high atop the victory podium.
