Gravel Unravel is now a 3-race gravel series in the rugged Olympic Mountains and lush (wet) rainforest of the Pacific Northwest USA.

All three courses deliver breathtaking views filled with vivid green moss and ferns, towering evergreen trees, and snow capped peaks.  No matter the distance, these courses are no joke – you will climb, a lot. And then climb some more.

The first race, Hoh’ly Roller, is scheduled for 1 May 2021.  It is the shortest of the three races, but by far the most challenging. Beginning just outside Olympic National Park at the Hoh River, this 66 mile course climbs up into the rainforest with a staggering 8800 feet of total uphill climbing. Be sure to bring a rain jacket…

The Sol Grinder takes place 5 June near Lake Crescent, Washington.  With a length of 77 miles, plus 9200 feet of vertical ascent, Sol Grinder winds through dense forests of fir, spruce and cedar with many stream crossings to navigate.

The third and final race is the Bon Jon Pedal Bender hosted by the town of Quilcene, Washington on 26 June.  The 80 mile race climbs up into the Buckhorn Wilderness and includes two ascents of Bon Jon Pass.

All races include RFID timing, course signage & marshals, aid stations, mechanical support, post-race vittles and great Pacific Northwest craft beer.

The organizer also offers a nice COVID19 cancellation policy allowing pre-registered riders the choice of a free transfer to a future race, or an 80% refund if a race is cancelled due to COVID19.
