With the 2019 professional European race season in the books, pro riders now have time for their favorite charities and fans.  For triple World Champion Peter Sagan that means riding in Southern California, USA at his Sagan Fondo: Gran Roadie-Oh!

Peter hosted the 3-day event in San Marcos this past weekend with a black-tie dinner, online auction and gran fondo to raise money for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) and the Outride Foundation.  Sagan donated signed memorabilia for the auction which raised over $11,000 for the charities.

CAF guides people with a physical disability to still be able to exercise actively. Outride uses cycling as a tool for kids to achieve academic, health, and social success.

On the bike, Sagan led 300 gran fondo riders on an adventurous 150km route, including a few dirt sectors, and finished 72nd in 4:52:48.
