The 20th edition of the Engadin Radmarathon got underway on Friday 03 July 2026 with a sharp uphill prologue that set the tone for a three-day stage race widely regarded as one of the most scenic events on the amateur Swiss Cycling Top Tour calendar.

Riders tackled a 6.69-kilometre individual uphill time trial from Zernez to Ova Spin, gaining 439 metres of elevation on the edge of the Swiss National Park. Competitors rolled off the start ramp at 20-second intervals, with the short, punchy climb rewarding pure power over tactics.

Calvin Schneider of Planforum Cycling Team claimed victory in 00:17:25, edging teammate Cédric Werder by 23 seconds. Dutch rider Lars Veugelers of WTOS Delft completed the men’s podium, 50 seconds behind.

In the women’s race, Austria’s Melanie Geiger (Team Lexxi Racing) stopped the clock in 00:19:36 to take the early overall lead. Switzerland’s Nathalie Appenzeller finished 2 minutes 40 seconds back, while Denmark’s Laila Søholm Mandrup completed the podium, 4 minutes 33 seconds behind.

Saturday brings “La Cuorta, a 97-kilometre stage that crosses into Italy through a closed tunnel to Livigno before tackling the Forcola and Bernina passes beneath the Bernina glacier massif.

Sunday’s queen stage, “La Svizra,” covers 117 kilometres and 2,815 metres of climbing over the Flüela and Albula passes before finishing back in the Engadin. The overall classification will be decided across all three stages.
