The world’s richest mass-participation cycling esports event returns from Tuesday 07 July to Tuesday 14 July 2026, with the MyWhoosh Championships again offering more than US$1,000,000 in prize money across a seven-stage virtual race.
Building on last year’s inaugural edition, MyWhoosh has retained its General Classification format while expanding participation across six competitive categories for both men and women. Equal prize money will again be awarded to both genders, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to parity in cycling esports.
Unlike traditional one-day virtual races, the championships mirror a professional stage race. Riders will tackle seven days of racing, separated by one rest day, across flat, hilly, mountainous and individual time trial stages. Overall victory will be decided on cumulative elapsed time, while daily stage winners, sprint champions and King and Queen of the Mountain classifications will also be contested.
Team competition remains a major feature. Squads of three to five riders must all compete in the same category, with the best three finishing times from each stage counting towards the team classification. Individual riders remain eligible for prize money regardless of whether they race as part of a team.
MyWhoosh says every finisher will also receive an exclusive in-real-life championship kit valued at more than US$500, adding another incentive for riders to complete the demanding week-long competition. Registration closes on Tuesday 30 June 2026, just one week before racing begins.
The championships continue MyWhoosh’s rapid expansion in cycling esports. The platform also hosts the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, while its growing investment in prize money has helped establish virtual racing as a genuine and credible competitive sport.
