The 10th edition of the Etape Loch Ness cyclosportive started with a monster sized peloton of 5650 cyclists rolling out along the shore of Loch Ness in Scotland on Sunday 28 April. The 66-mile fully closed route started in Inverness and circumnavigated the world famous lake mythically inhabited by the Loch Ness Monster, all the while raising over £2million to support cancer patients.

Daniel Sutherland (Ross-shire Roads Cycling Club) was first to reach the finish in 2:45:26, followed shortly by teammate Jonathan Forbes (2:46:16) and Gavin Dempster (2:46:19). Natalie Munro (Moray Gravel RT) was the fastest woman at 2:58:50, with Martha Gates (2:58:52) a close second and Charlotte Dewdney (3:04:41) next.

Andy Cunningham claimed the King of the Mountain title for a record seventh time, reaching the summit of the 4.8-mile Glendoe climb in 19:36, with Charlotte Dewdney taking the women’s Queen of the Mountain title in 25:36.

The next edition of Etape Loch Ness will take place on 27 April 2025.
