UPDATE 11 January 2022: The seventh and wildcard event in Life Time’s Grand Prix will be at Rad Dirt Fest in Trinidad, Colorado on 30 September.

Life Time has announced a select world class field of 70 gravel bike racers will compete in the 2023 Life Time Grand Prix series based in America, with 35 men and 35 women vying will for a $250,000 USD equally split prize purse.

Racing begins with the Sea Otter Classic on 22 April in Monterey, California. The seven race series then moves to Kansas for UNBOUND Gravel 3 June, followed by Utah’s Crusher in the Tushar on 8 July, the Leadville Trail 100 on 12 August high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the Chequamegon Festival on 16 September in Wisconsin, and then conclude with Big Sugar Gravel on 21 October in Arkansas. A seventh wild card event is scheduled to be announced on 11 January.

The top 10 male and female riders in the final overall standings will share the $250,000 purse, with first-place finishers winning $25,000.

Life Time Grand Prix competitors will be ranked on overall points based on their placing at each event, with first place earning 35 points, second 34, third 33 and so forth. The overall results will use an rider’s best five placings, and participants must start in five of the seven events in order to be eligible for an overall prize. The final event in the series, Life Time Big Sugar Gravel, is mandatory and will serve as a tiebreaker in the event of an overall tie on points.

2022 Life Time Grand Prix champions Haley Smith and Keegan Swenson are returning to defend their titles – and hopefully claim another $25,000 paycheck.
