Cyclists have two wonderful opportunities to ride around the Italian Dolomites in 2023 completely free of traffic at Sella Ronda Bike Day, now in its 17th edition.

On both 10 June and 16 September 51kilometers of roads that form the famous ring around the Sella Group massif in the Dolomites will be closed to motorized traffic, allowing cyclists to climb four famous Grand Tour alpine passes: Passo Gardena, Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi and Passo Sella.

Weather for the June date is usually perfect for cycling, warm and spring-like. On the other hand, unpredictable September weather can turn the route into a cold and snowy epic day on the bike. Be prepare.

While it is not a typical mass-start gran fondo with timing or rankings, 10,000 riders of all abilities will start at various points on the ring loop road to ride leisurely, in groups or competitively vying for Strava KOM segments in a safe and friendly environment.

Best of all – no registration is required and the event is FREE.
