Over 2500 cyclists participated in the ninth edition of GFNY Cozumel in Mexico on Sunday with 20 year-old Christopher Hans Torres Ramirez the first to cross the finish line of the 160 kilometers long race for the men, and Ana María Hernández Delgado for the women.

With a final time of 3:38:21, Torres (Canel’s – Zerouno), who just turned 20, was two minutes ahead of second place rider Juan Magallán Aranda (3:40;24) and Luis Lemus Dávila (3:40:26) in third place, both professional riders.

In the women’s race, 29 year-old Ana Hernández Delgado stood atop the podium for a third time, winning in 3:50:27. Second place went Monserrat Camargo Santacana (3:50:29) and third to Aída García Álvarez (3:55:29).

In addition to the 2500 adult cyclists, over over 150 children aged 3-13 participated in Gran Fondo Kids races ranging from 250 meters up to 5 kilometers.
