Beginning at 09:00 on Thursday 15 September, 561 amateur cyclists rolled down the starting ramp at 30 second intervals to try and win an Individual Time Trial world title at the 2022 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Trento, Italy.
The 19.6 kilometer long course started and finished in the heart of Trento at Piazza delle Donne Lavoratrici. Loick Dussol of France in the Men’s 19-34 category was the fastest man with a time of 24:37 and Sonja Moi of Norway competing in the Women’s 40-44 category was the fastest women, stopping the clock at 27:30.
