2019 was the last time a UCI gran fondo took place in Mexico and the organiser expects over 1500 riders to compete in the 2022 edition.  The 2020 edition was cancelled due to the pandemic and participants told their entry would move to the next edition, but no refunds would be offered.

Unfortunately, course details, registration information and race day schedule are not currently available for the 2022 event, making would be participants skeptical the event will occur.

Some riders from the cancelled 2020 edition just want their money back.  Facebook member Samuel Hernandez simply asked, “Could you refund the payment I made for 2020??”
