Just three weeks after announcing a revised 2021 race schedule, the UCI Gran Fondo World Series has suffered another setback. Less than 24 hours before the start of UCI Granfondo Moscow on 22 May, the event has been called off due to a significant increase of virus cases in the Russian capital city.
Due to the current epidemiological situation, we decided to reduce the risk of re-postponement and race on the following dates: Race with separate start TT Krylatsky – July 10, Garden Ring – July 11 The routes and timing remain the same.

The UCI and the local organiser have tentatively rescheduled the events in July, with Individual Time Trial Krylatskie Holmy taking place 10 July and Garden Ring Gran Fondo Cycling Race 11 July. Both events will allow amateur riders finishing in the top 20% to qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships planned for October in Bosnia.
