Italian cyclists will have to wait a bit longer to ride this year’s first gran fondo, Gran Fondo Città di Loano, due to ever changing government coronavirus regulations and travel restrictions.  The event originally scheduled for 14 February has been postponed to 7 March at the earliest.

“It is not possible for cyclists to travel between the various Regions of Italy at the moment and since the events promoted by GS Loabikers are aimed at family fun, giving them an excellent excuse for a weekend at the beach, with these restrictions the driving principle of the purpose of the event would be lost,” the organizer announced..

Registration will be open until 28 February and the remainder of the 2021 LOABIKERS GRAN FONDO TROPHY SERIES will proceed as scheduled.
