Registration opens today, 1 December, for the 5th edition of Granfondo Sestriere Colle delle Finestre, where professionals Tao Geoghegan Hart and Jai Hindler epically battled for the 2020 Giro d’ Italia title high in the Italian Alps.

This is one of the most unique events of its kind, allowing amateurs to test themselves along the same storied paved and gravel roads Chris Froome used to claim the Maglia Rosa at the 2018 Giro d’Italia and Tadej Pogar trained on prior to winning the 2020 Tour de France.
On the 18 July 2021 amateurs can relive the exploits of these great cycling champions on the 122 kilometre gran fondo route, which features over 3400 metres of climbing over three categorized climbs – Sestriere, Colle delle Finestre (gravel), Sestriere(Cesana).
At 17km in length with an average grade of 10% Colle delle Finestre is one of the most feared climbs in the Italian Alps. The final 10 kilometres are narrow, gravel and include numerous leg-breaking switchbacks.

Granfondo Sestriere Colle delle Finestre will also host the 20th Coppa della Stampa, the Italian cycling championship for journalists. Certified journalists and press photographers will compete for an Italian tri-colored championship jersey.
