Over 2000 registered riders have another year to prepare to put the hammer down at Norway’s world famous 540km Styrkeprøven gran fondo event after the promoter cancelled the 19-21 June race.
“The Board of Styrkeprøven AS has deemed it necessary to cancel the 2020 season in order to protect participants, employees and partners from negative consequences due to the ongoing corona pandemic.”
The point-to-point amateur cycling race from Trondheim to Oslo presents huge logistical, security and transportation challenges under normal conditions, let alone during the current coronavirus emergency.
Styrkeprøven AS has committed to not expose participants, employees, subcontractors or partners to infection risk during the ongoing emergency situation.
In the coming days registered riders will received information on refund options.
