The first gold medals and rainbow jerseys have been awarded at the 2019 UCI Gran Fondo World Championship in Poznan, Poland. 432 riders lined up in the start house and one-by-one rolled down a ramp to begin the 18.3km Individual Time Trial (ITT).
American Brock Mason had the fastest time of the day at 23:08 or 46.7km/hr and won the Mens 19-34 age category.
The fastest women was Ewa Bankowska from host country Poland who clocked 25:44 and won the Womens 35-39 age category.
