It is the dream of every cyclist to pedal through the beautiful Dolomite peaks of Italy on roads entirely closed to traffic.
On Sunday that’s exactly what 9000 riders did at the Maratona dles Dolomite gran fondo. At 138km long with 4230m of climbing National Geographic calls it “One of the biggest, most passionate, and most chaotic bike races on Earth.”
