The Belgian city of Turnhout will host the 2030 UCI Gravel World Championships, the UCI announced at its 2026 Congress in Montréal, Canada. It was among 19 world championship hosts unveiled for the 2027 to 2034 period.
Organiser Golazo, which staged the 2024 and 2025 Gravel World Championships, is expected to run the event again. UCI President David Lappartient called Turnhout a familiar setting for top-level gravel racing and a dependable fixture of the UCI Gravel World Series.
Turnhout Gravel has drawn large fields of about 2,500 riders. In March 2025 Denmark’s Mads Würtz Schmidt won the 144-kilometre race in 03:35:24. In 2026 Belgium’s Jarno Bellens earned victory in 03:37:58, with Australia’s Nicole Frain doing the same for the women in 04:09:17. A new 15-kilometre canal section in 2026 proved decisive.
Belgium already holds the 2030 UCI Road and Cyclo-cross World Championships. The Gravel World Championships will return to Belgium for the second time, after Leuven hosted the event in 2024. Before then, gravel racers will compete for world titles in Australia next month, followed by France, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland in 2027, 2028 and 2029.
