Around 2,000 top amateur cyclists from around the world will compete this week at the 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, taking place from 26-30 August under the shadow of Mount Yotei in Niseko, Japan.
Racing for coveted world championship rainbow jerseys and prized medals begins Thursday at 07:00 local time (Wednesday 00:00 Paris, 18:00 New York) with a 15km Individual Time Trial (start list), followed by the 140km Gran Fondo and 76km Medio Fondo road races (start list) on Sunday at 06:00 local time (Saturday 23:00 Paris, 17:00 New York). Spectator-friendly Team Relay Races will take place Friday evening.
