Arthur Blanc of Prizm Racing claimed victory at the 2026 Colnago GF Mont Ventoux on Sunday, putting a French rider atop the podium on one of cycling’s most storied and revered climbs.
Departing Vaison-la-Romaine, France, at 07:30 under the Provençal sun, approximately 5,000 riders tackled three road distances across the Vaucluse region. The flagship granfondo covered 135 km with 3,200 metres of climbing, finishing at the iconic radio tower summit of Mont Ventoux via the legendary Bédoin ascent.
Blanc crossed the line in 03:54:21, climbing Ventoux in a very impressive 51:41. He defeated Italian Luca Cavallo of Team OM.CC by 1 minute 20 seconds, while Prizm Racing teammate Baptiste Lombardi rounded out the podium a further 2 minutes 51 seconds behind.
Blanc, who has steadily built his palmarès in amateur competition, delivered a pro-like performance. Victory on cycling’s most iconic climb represents a major accomplishment for the 27-year-old.
In the women’s race, Germany’s Lisa Stein was dominant, finishing in 04:33:45. France’s Marie-Morgane Le Deunff of Team Avesnois took second place, 5 minutes 33 seconds adrift, with Swiss rider Chloé Sugnaux of Pédale Bulloise completing the podium in 04:55:54.
In the Mediofondo (106 km), France’s Louen Coiquaud, also of Prizm Racing, won the men’s race in 03:08:06, while compatriot Manon Maheo topped the women’s standings in 03:48:00.
The event, held from 6-7 June in Vaison-la-Romaine, Vaucluse, is considered one of France’s most emblematic cyclosportives, drawing riders from across Europe to a summit finish at 1,912 metres above sea level, with closed roads and professional-level support.
