Lukas Pöstlberger (Rose Racing Circle) and Geerike Schreurs (Specialized Off-road) claimed commanding victories at the fourth edition of The Gralloch UCI Gravel World Series race in Galloway on Saturday, with both winners crossing the line in Garries Park well clear of the chasing pack.

Pöstlberger, the Austrian former WorldTour pro best known for winning the opening stage of the 2017 Giro d’Italia, has evolved into one of gravel’s most formidable forces in 2026. Having won The Traka 200 just two weeks ago, his Gralloch performance — finishing in 03:03:32 — emphatically underlined that dominance.

Jenson Young was second in 03:04:50, 1 minute and 18 seconds in arrears. Niels Vandeputte finished third in 03:06:04, with Tobias Mørch Kongstad and Benjamin Perry separated by less than a second in fourth and fifth. Canadian Michael Woods — one of several high-profile names competing — placed seventh in 03:06:25.

In the women’s race, Schreurs delivered a masterclass. The Dutch powerhouse, already a Gralloch winner from the 2024 edition, crossed the line in 03:33:39, reinforcing her status as one of gravel’s most consistent performers on the global circuit. Karolina Migoń took second just 2 seconds later, with Wendy Oosterwoud third in 03:35:00. Danielle Shrosbree claimed fourth in 03:35:01, while 2025 Gralloch winner Tessa Neefjes finished eighth in 03:50:46.

The 111-kilometre course through Galloway Forest Park — featuring 1,761 metres of climbing and more than 80% gravel surfaces — started and finished in Garries Park and provided its usual relentless challenge.

The top 25% of riders in each age group qualified for the UCI Gravel World Championships in Australia later this year.
