LEGO has finally given cycling fans the set they didn’t know they needed. The Danish toy giant has unveiled the Road Bike (11380), the first-ever full-scale buildable bicycle in the Icons range, with pre-orders open now and a launch date of 1 June 2026.

The 1,015-piece set features working front-wheel steering, a functional pedal-and-chain drive, and a freewheel mechanism for coasting — details that should raise a smile among anyone who has ever fiddled with a real drivetrain. Also included are derailleurs, brake calipers, clipless pedals, a silver-coloured drive chain, a removable water bottle, and a rear light.

Only available in Ferrari red without logos or brand markings, the build draws clear inspiration from modern aero road bikes, with teardrop tube profiles, a wide-stance front fork and deep section wheels reminiscent of the top end of the carbon market. It’s a single-speed, of course — there are no climbs on your bookshelf.

The set introduces several new brick moulds, with the deep section wheel components drawing particular attention. Mounted on its stand, the finished model measures 36 cm high, 60 cm long, and 19 cm wide — small enough sneak into the house without a spouse suspecting your service course is N+1.

Rated for ages 18+ and retail priced at £109.99 / €119.99 / US$129.99, it sits at the accessible end of LEGO’s Icons product line. For a cycling enthusiast who has already spent four or five figures on the real thing, this brick-built tribute is practically pocket change.
