Jordan Habets crossed the finish line of the Wörthersee Gravel Race in Velden am Wörthersee, Austria on Sunday 12 April 2026 by just five thousandths of a second ahead of second-placed Gustav Frederik Dahl — one of the tightest winning margins in UCI Gravel World Series competition to date.
Habets, riding for Rose Racing Circle, completed the 150km course in a time of 4 hours, 8 minutes and 59.9 seconds. Teammate Luis Neff rounded out the men’s podium in third. Fabian Rabensteiner placed fourth, with Paul Voß fifth. Local legend Johnny Hoogerland — race organiser, Tour de France star and reigning M40-44 Gravel World Champion — came home in sixth.
In the women’s elite race, Australian Nicole Frain of Factor Racing took the win in 4:37:25.7, ahead of Mieke Kröger — also Rose Racing Circle — in second and Jana Gigele in third. Frain, who has been in dominant form throughout the 2026 UCI Gravel World Series season, extended her winning streak at the Austrian lakeside venue.
Race director Julius Rupitsch described the weekend as a tremendous success, noting perfect sunny conditions and excellent atmosphere throughout. Around 1,700 participants from 40 nations contested the event across multiple race formats, with the elite field tackling 150km while masters categories rode the 94km course.
The Wörthersee Gravel Race forms part of the 2026 UCI Gravel World Series calendar and serves as a qualifying event for the 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships. Top 25% finishers in each UCI age and gender category earn a start in Nannup, Western Australia later this year.
