The Italian National Anti-Doping Prosecutors Office (PNA) has announced the successful prosecution of four amateur cyclists after they committed anti-doping violations, including using Erythropoietin (EPO), and banned them from participating in sport in any capacity as follows:

Ebike racer Giuseppe Carotenuto (TEAM OVER THE TOP BIKE), 54, received a 3 year ban until 5 May 2027 after testing positive for the banned anabolic steroid Metandienone.

Masters category racer Simone Cecarini (TORELLO CYCLING TEAM) is also banned 3 years, until 2 April 2027, after returning a positive test result for Methoxy Polyethylene Glycol-Epoetin Beta (EPO CERA).

A 4 year ban, until 5 May 2028, was issued to former professional racer Antonio Testa (G.S. ORATINO ASSOCIAZIONE SPORTIVA DILETTANTISTICA), 40, after EPO was discovered in his anti-doping test sample.

Junior racer Paolo Cretti (GRAN SPORT MASSI SUPERMERCATI), 18, has been banned 2 years, until 11 July 2025, for unspecified anti-doping violations.
