The UCI officially announced the complete schedule of next season’s Gran Fondo World Championship Series that allows amateurs to qualify for the 2024 world championships planned in Aalborg, Denmark. Competitors at these events finishing in the top 25% of their age/gender category automatically earn a starting spot at the world championships.

The 2024 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships will take place 29 August – 01 September in Aalborg, Denmark with the following events: Individual Time Trial on Thursday 29 August, Team Relay (now an official event with world championship jerseys awarded) on Friday 30 August, Gran Fondo and Medio Fondo on Sunday 01 September.
This will be the second time Aalborg has hosted the gran fondo world championships, the first was in 2015 when it was called the UCI World Cycling Tour.
