At the annual 191st UCI Congress held at the UCI Road World Championships in Wollongong, Australia this week, the UCI Management Committee awarded Flanders, Belgium and the Flemish Brabant province the 2024 UCI Gravel World Championships to be held in the autumn of 2024.

Also winning the right to host future UCI Gravel World Championships are the cities of Nice, France in 2025 and Nannup, Australia in 2026.

The 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships will take place in Haute-Savoie, France as part of the second UCI “Super Worlds” for all cycling disciplines.

Eleven UCI Gravel World Series qualifying events took place in 2022, with over 800 riders (and a few top professionals) now qualified to participate in the first edition of the UCI Gravel World Championships taking place 8-9 October 2022 in the Veneto region of Italy. The 2023 edition will also take place in Italy 30 September and 1 October at a yet-to-be-decided venue.
