The UCI Management Committee has confirmed 15-18 September as the official dates for the 2022 Gran Fondo World Championships in Trento, Italy.

Individual Time Trial races will take place on Thursday 15 September and Team Relay on Friday the 16th.  Gran Fondo and Medio Fondo races will be on Sunday 18 September, likely using the La Leggendaria Charley Gaul 140 kilometre course with 4000 metres of ascent, but exact course details will be forthcoming.

Amateur cyclists wishing to participate must qualify at one of the 28 races listed on the UCI Gran Fondo World Series calendar by finishing in the top 20% of their age group category.

The next qualifying race is the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge in the United Arab Emirates starting on Friday 18 February.
