It takes more than a virus to stop Fabian Cancellara from holding his famous Swiss Bern to Andermatt gran fondo.

Chasing Cancellara Bern-Andermatt will take place on 3 July using a modified format and protective measures approved by Swiss authorities to keep riders and staff safe.

A limited field of 300 riders will depart at 04:00 from Bern for the 200km and 5500m vertical race to Andermat as solo riders or in teams of two – WITH NO DRAFTING ALLOWED.

Yes, it is a 200km individual or two-person time trial in the Swiss Alps against Fabian Cancellara – one of the best time trial racers ever.

The course heads out to the Bernese Oberland where riders encounter their first climbing challenge in Schwanden.  Next, they will head towards the Grimselpass in the twilight of the early morning via Interlaken and Meiringen.

After Grimselpass riders tackle both the Nufenenpass and the final climb up Passo San Gottardo on the old granite pave of the “Tremola” before descending to Andermatt and a cold beer.

Registration bibs are still available and can be reserved at  www.chasingcancellara.com/.
