The amateur springtime cycling calendar in France likely just got a lot smaller after the French Minister for Sport announced further restrictions at sporting events on Monday due to the novel coronavirus emergency.
The Minister for Sport announced no more than 1000 spectators (or participants in the case of amateur cycling?) will be allowed to attend a sporting event in France at least until April 15.
Granfondo Nice-Matin has already announced postponement of the 29 March race.
The new restrictions will likely impact or cancel amateur versions of Paris-Nice on 14 March and Paris-Roubaix on 11 April, as well as other upcoming French events.
