L’Etape by Tour de France has cancelled its L’Etape California and L’Etape Morocco gran fondo races.
After partnering with the recently cancelled professional Tour of California race for 9 editions, L’Etape California has been cancelled too – eliminating USA’s only L’Etape gran fondo.
Also getting l’axe is the only L’Etape gran fondo on the African continent, L’Etape Morocco, after its 1st edition. The October 2019 event attracted hundreds of participants rather than thousands like many L’Etape gran fondos.
L’Etape now offers 19 events around the world, with almost half of those in Mexico.
L’Etape Mexico-Cancun, Mexico-Oaxaca, Spain, Slovakia and Indonesia are all new for 2020.
