Kyle Perry set a new course record at the flat-as-a-cornfield 2019 Rollfast Gran Fondo in Indiana, USA on September 15.
Perry’s winning time of 3:42:55, broke the old record of 3:44:59 by 2 minutes. He averaged 26.91mph for the 100 mile course and finished in front of Sergio Ascenco 3:42:57 and Jonathon Jacob 3:43:59.

Arielle Coy won the women’s race in 3:47:42, with Laurie Elmore 2nd at 4:13:55 and Molly Birt 3rd at 4:20:16.
Both Coy and Perry each earned $1500 cash and title of 2019 Gran Fondo World Tour World Champion.

229 riders participated in the 100 mile event, where a large pack created ideal conditions for a fast race. 85 riders finished within a few minutes of Perry’s winning time and earned a coveted SUB4 (hour) belt buckle, making Perry’s 2-minute solo victory all the more impressive.
