Former doper, cheat and now gran fondo event promoter Lance Armstrong tweeted on Saturday that he blew by United States Vice President Mike Pence on a Nantucket, Massachusetts, bike path.

“I can’t drop many people on a bike these days but I just blew the fuckin’ doors off Mike Pence on a Nantucket bike path. Day. Made,” Armstrong bragged on Twitter.
Pence, 60, was on Nantucket for a Republican Party fundraiser and out for a leisurely ride with his wife.
No word on why Armstrong, who is banned from competitive-cycling for life, was on Nantucket and looking to compete on a bike path.
The Twitterverse was critical of Armstrong’s bragging considering his scandalous past. Here are some of the 36,000+ replies:
Pence’s spokeswoman, Alyssa Farah, tweeted: “Couldn’t quite hang onto those Tour de France titles, but hey, at least you beat Karen & Mike Pence on a leisurely bike ride! Congrats?”
“You literally cheated to get famous and now you’re bragging about going faster on a bike than a guy who’s never raced in his life. Nice, dude,” said political commentator Caleb Hull.
“Finally a race you didn’t need to dope for to win,” said Joe Saladino.
Phil Anderson pondered Armstrong’s next race, “Wow, Lance, congratulations. Who’s next? Ruth Bader Ginsburg?”
And Kyle Smith of National Review, said, “You kind of sound like a jerk.”
Armstrong tried to recover and replied, “Some people can’t take a joke or even having a little fun on twitter. Lightin’ the f–k up people. But seriously, I did blow his doors off!!”
GFDN reached out to the Office of the Vice President of the United States to find out if Armstrong gave Pence “The Look” as he rode by. They offered no comment.
