You probably do not recognize these names, but these cyclists shared a common passion for racing, training, group rides and competitive camaraderie. They were champions, determined competitors who never ever gave up, no matter the odds.
Sadly, they also tragically left us in 2025 while doing what they loved, turning the pedals over and over as kilometers passed by and cool wind hit their face – until the last pedal stroke.
What follows is a memorial list of 25 amateur racers aged 16 to 70 from around the world who died this year while cycling. It is in chronological order based on date of death and includes name, age.
In a brief second any one of us could unexpectedly end up on a similar list. So please take a moment to follow the links, read their stories and think of them and their loved ones as you safely pedal into the New Year.
