On Tuesday Life Time Fitness announced the select field of top graveleurs from across the world choosen to compete in the 2026 USA based Life Time Grand Prix Series – with more than half of the men’s field foreign riders traveling west to compete for the year’s biggest off-road prize purse – $590,000.

44 of the 50 elite invitation-only starting positions are now assigned, with the fifth season of the six race series set to begin 16 April in California at Sea Otter Classic Gravel. Life Time indicated the remaining six starting slots might be filled via “wildcard” invitations at a later date.

Some of the top riders competing this year include 4x Life Time Grand Prix champion Sofia Gomez Villafane of Argentina, Gravel Earth Series champion Rosa Kloser of Germany, United States gravel champion Lauren Stephens, 2025 Life Time Grand Prix champion Cameron Jones of New Zealand, MTB World Champion Keegan Swenson from the United States and the Swiss Felix Stehli, who finished 5th last month at the UCI Gravel World Championships.

With an average age of 29.2 the men’s field is noticeably younger than the women’s at 31.5 years old. The youngest competitor is 22 year old Griffin Hoppin and the oldest Lauren Stephens at 39, both from the United States.
