Starting and finishing in historic Munster, Germany prior to the WorldTour professional race, a sold-out field of 7500 amateurs tackled relatively flat 125, 95 and 65 kilometer closed road routes around the city on Friday 3 October at the Sparkassen Munsterland Giro Leezencups.
Winning the 125km race was 34 year-old Patrick Altefrohne (LEEZE FACTORY RACING) in 2:31:06, followed closely by Arjen van Putten and Gunnar Marten Goerges in that order to complete an all Germany men’s podium.
24 year-old Luxembourger Elisa Kockelmann (TEAM PLASMATREAT – RTS ELECTRONIC) won for the women in 2:32:57. Nele Wennemann and Svea Ludorff of Germany were right behind respectively.
Thomas Peffer (WELL:FAIR CYCLING TEAM) 1:58:42 and Vanessa Helen Nieminen (RSG GIEßEN UND WIESECK) 1:58:47 won the 95km race for the men and women.
The 65km race saw Til Van Der Linde 1:21:53 and Luca Sophie Mayer 1:22:16 stand tall on the podium for the men and women in that order.
Jasper Philipsen (ALPECIN-DECEUNINCK) 4:10:53 sprinted to victory in the 200km men’s professional race.
