26 USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championship titles, complete with national champion jerseys, were awarded on Sunday 14 September at Gran Fondo Maryland, just outside the nation’s capital.
Competing on five short timed segments on a 100 mile course, riders were ranked in age group categories based on total time to complete the segments. Jennifer Thornton-Brooks (UNITED CYCLING p/b CADENCE CYCLERY) from North Carolina was the fastest woman overall with a time of 1:27:22. Henry Neff (KELLY BENEFITS CYCLING TEAM) from Virginia was the fastest man, completing the segments in 1:13:51.
