The British Gravel Championships in Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire brought together hundreds of graveleurs intensely competing for national gravel titles and jerseys this weekend.
The competition started on Friday with a first in the world national gravel time trial race. A 13.8km individual pursuit against the clock including technical sections and punchy climbs. Abi Smith (TEAM PICNIC POSTNL) was the fastest woman, finishing in 23:45, with Jenson Young (RIBBLE OUTLIERS) the fastest man in 20:30.
On Saturday age group categories raced multiple laps in Darby Forest totaling 120km with 2000m of vertical ascent. Elite men and women will do the same on Sunday with the races streaming live on YouTube.
