With two days of UCI Gravel World Series racing this weekend in the Welsh region of Great Britain at Graean Cymru Gravel, over 500 elite and amateur graveleurs are taking what is likely their last shot to qualify for the 2025 UCI Gravel World Championships scheduled in October.

To qualify for the worlds riders must finish in the top 25% of their UCI age/gender category, with racing on Saturday for all women and men aged 50+ and then for remaining men on Sunday.

50 year-old former continental pro Christopher Mcnamara of Great Britain earned the overall win on Saturday, finishing the 105km route solo in 3:30:22, followed by Irishman Ian O’Hara 3:31:22 and Rob Jepp of Great Britain.

22 year-old Brit Noemie Thomson (DAS – HUTCHINSON) soloed in for the women’s win in 3:45:34, followed by a chasing group of three: Abi Smith 3:46:58, Morgan Aguirre 3:47:00 and Elizabeth Hermolle 3:47:08.

In the men’s 19-49 year-old 105km race on Sunday it was 24 year-old Jenson Young (RIBBLE OUTLIERS) scoring his first UCI Gravel World Series win and qualifying for the world championships with a final time of 3:11:07. Thomas Armstrong and Ollie Boarer sprinted for the remaining podium steps and finished in that order one minute later.
