The 14th Tour de Victoria, hosted by Giro d’Italia champion Ryder Hesjedal, took place Saturday 16 August in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, with over 2200 riders participating on routes up to 160 kilometers in length on Vancouver Island.

Erik Hauner won the 160 kilometer gran fondo in 4:31:21, just ahead of Daniel Varga at 4:31:35. Carson Smith rolled in at 4:34:51 to claim third place.

Hannah Simms won the women’s gran fondo in 4:55:09, with Melanie McQuiad at 4:59:04 and Mel Ditkiewecz finishing third at 5:22:29.

The 140km gran-medio fondo was won by Phillip Jurek in 4:03:34 after outsprinting Brett Boniface and Brandon Velestuk in the final meters. Sarah Kirwin was the first women at 4:38:51, followed by Leslie Wichola and Tania Percy.

Pedro Peralta Eldgueta was first in the 100km medio fondo with a time of 2:58:22, followed by Jordy Fawcett and James Suderman. Jessica Connolly finished first for the women in 3:23:07, with Erin Lewyk and Sophia Chadwick next.
