Saturday’s sold-out edition of L’Etape du Tour Femmes took 2000 riders on a fully closed route that followed the exact path of the professional women’s Tour de France, 117km from Chambery to the summit of the Col de la Madeleine in Saint-François-Longchamp.

Fresh off of winning Campilaro last week, Brit Victoria Stansfield returned to the top of the podium. The former ultra-runner, who just started cycling this year, reached the legendary French summit five minutes ahead of all challengers, winning the women’s L’Etape Femmes title in 4:25:35. Emilia Welte of Germany earned second place in 4:30:13, with Eva Poirot of France taking the final podium step in 4:31:23.

For the men it as an all French podium, with Thibaut Clement earning the yellow champion’s jersey in 3:49:04 after narrowly defeating Arthur Blanc by 16 seconds. Antoine Berger was next at 3:52:01.
