When a one day event is not enough, the four day, four stage Campilaro in the Pyrenees offers amateurs a taste of grand tour style competition over mythical climbs – Col du Soulor, Col D’Aubisque, Tourmalet, Superbagneres and more.

The sold-out 10th edition rolled out from Lourdes on 24 July with just over 200 competitors, beginning a 450 kilometer shark tooth profile route with over 10,000 meters of vertical ascent.

When the riders returned to Lourdes four days later, with all the racing, riding and recovery complete, Nicolas Rondeau was wearing the overall leaders jersey. The Frenchman finished with a general classification time of 7:32:14, with fellow countryman Julien Morancho and the Swiss Johan Fayet less than a minute behind earning second and third place respectively.

Victoria Stansfield from Great Britain climbed to overall victory in the women’s general classification with a time of 8:30:26, followed by Mathilde Fournier of France at 8:47:11. Nina Sender of the Netherlands finished third.
