The UCI rolled out mid-season changes to the 2025-2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Series calendar last week, adding a brand new event in Colombia and announcing revised dates in Costa Rica and Turkey.
Colombia will host UCI Granfondo Bogota on 7 December, offering cyclists in the Americas an opportunity to qualify for the 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Niseko, Japan.
Also a 2026 qualifying event, Granfondo Antalya in Turkey will now take place a week earlier, on 9 November, in the beach resort city of Antalya. One of the shorter and more popular UCI gran fondo races, it usually attracts over 3000 participants looking to punch their ticket to the world championships.
CRC 506 Gran Fondo Costa Rica, originally planned in June but canceled due to extreme weather, will now take place 24 August and provide a last chance opportunity to qualify for the October 2025 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Australia.
