Close to 2000 graveleurs eager to qualify for the 2025 UCI Gravel World Championships took to the start line at Gravel One Fifty in the Netherlands Saturday morning.
First to reach the finish in Roden after 150 kilometers of fast, dirty and gritty racing was Dutch Continental Pro Jordan Habets (METEC – SOLARWATT p/b/ Mantel). The 23 year-old held on to win in 4:06:45, with 22 year-old Kamiel Notebaert of Belgium earning second place at 4:06:50. Last year’s champion, 26 year-old Brit Thomas Mein, took third in 4:06:59. Another 10 seconds back Ryan Kamp and Mauro Verwilt fell just short of the podium.
Women’s World Tour pro Femke Marcus (SD WORX – PROTIME) defeated Rosa Kloser of Germany in a photo finish sprint. The 28 year-old Dutch rider stopped the clock for the pair in 4:26:56. Julia Kopecky of the Czech Republic rolled in 5 minutes later to claim third place. Tessa Neefjes and Esmee Peperkamp rounded out the Top 5.
Dutch riders also dominated the shorter 80 kilometer world championship qualifying race for older categories (W50+, M60+). In 2:26:40 Freo ten Hove won for the men, while Sandra ‘T Hart did the same for the women in 2:38:27.
Participants finishing in the top 25% of their age/gender category qualified to race at the October 2025 UCI Gravel World Championships, also taking place in the Netherlands.
