Italy’s monumental Maratona dles Dolomites took place for the 38th time on Sunday morning, with Italians Luca Cavallo (OM.CC) and Roberta Bussone (RODMAN) triumphantly winning the 138 kilometer gran fondo in the stunning Dolomites.
Cavallo, 26, won for the men with a dominant solo performance, crossing under the banner in 4:25:40, with 34 year-old Spaniard David Mayo next at 4:28:12 and Italian Giuseppe Orlando, 25, taking the final podium step in 4:29:17. 2023 champion Frenchman Loic Ruffaut just missed the podium with a time of 4:29:51.
Bussone, 42, won for the women in 5:07:06, over 17 minutes in front of Italians Martina Cavallo, 35, and Carmen Moser, 26.
37 year-old Italian Stefano Bonanami (MP FILTRI) won the 106 kilometer medio fondo in 3:20:42, defeating former UCI Gran Fondo World Champion Stefan Kirchmair of Austria by 30 seconds.
Slovenian superstar Laura Simenc (SANTINI SQUADRA CORSE), 35, won the women’s medio in 3:53:07, 13 minutes ahead of runner up Michela Santini of Italy.
Over 7500 cyclists participated in this year’s edition of Maratona dles Dolomites. The 2026 edition will take place Sunday 5 July.
