Canadian Jack Burke (FAHRRAD XXL) continued his recent winning streak with a victory at a shortened Granfondo Livigno Ale in Italy on Saturday morning.
On a medio fondo route excluding the famed Stelvio climb due to a landslide, the 30 year-old KOM King once again climbed his way to the top of an Alpine podium. He finished the 106 kilometer long race with 2000+ meters of climbing solo in 2:50:26, including a two minute winning margin over Italians Patrick Facchini and Paolo Castelnovo, who finished in that order.
35 year-old multiple UCI Gran Fondo World Champion Laura Simenc (SANTINI SQUARA CORSE) of Slovenia confidently cruised to victory for the women in 3:12:46. Italians Elana Maria Palmisano and Mara Manfredi were next at 3:18:58 and 3:20:41 respectively.
Just under 1000 riders participated in Granfondo Livigno Ale, formerly know as Granfondo Ale La Merckx.
