Over 3300 riders from around the world competed for 2025 UCI Gran Fondo World Championship starting bibs at Schleck Gran Fondo in Luxembourg on Saturday, but after 159km of racing and 2250m of climbing it was an all Belgium podium.

From a select front group of five Belgian riders it was John-Ross Clauw (SHEETAH-KOERZ) who grabbed victory in a mad dash to the finish. The 29 year-old finished in 4:03:44, with Cedric Raymackers, Andreas Derweduwen, Jorre Debaele, and Guillaume Seye rounding out the Top 5 in that order.

German Nadine Heck won the women’s competition in 4:25:28, with the Swiss Jutta Stienen next at 4:31:29, followed by Jo Wouters of Belgium at 4:41:05.

The 87km medio fondo was won by Belgian Niels Vreys with a time of 2:18:34, while Anouk De Jong of the Netherlands won for the women in 2:24:38.

Competitors finishing in the top 25% of their UCI age/gender category earn a starting bib for the 2025 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships next October in Australia.
