UPDATE 29 April 2025: Without providing details, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said late Monday that Sam Ruddock “has been located safe.”

Las Vegas USA Police are desperately searching for 35 year-old UCI World Champion para cyclist Sam Ruddock who disappeared 15-16 April in Las Vegas.

Ruddock traveled to Las Vegas 13 April to attend WWE Wrestlemania 41, but has not been heard from since 15-16 April, when he replied to a dear friend with a cryptic message on Threads:

“ ‘This isn’t the Sam we know, we need the old Sam back.’ Newsflash, I was designed to LIVE and destined to EVOLVE. ❤️✝️🙏🏽☝🏽✨⚡️🌈 #theworldisyourstage #lasvegas #nevada #cottonclub #smoothcriminal #wrestlemania ”

He also posted an Instagram video showing him traveling in an old Austin Healey convertible automobile with a man named “Steve” through downtown Las Vegas.

Operators of the Las Vegas hostel he was staying in report Ruddock left personal belongings in his room and never checked out.

Ruddock, who has cerebral palsy and is 5’10” with dark brown eyes, black hair and a moustache, is a two-time UCI World Champion, winning gold in the 1km Time Trial on the velodrome in 2022 and 2023. He also represented Great Britain at the 2012 and 2016 Paralympic Games in athletics.

Anyone with information or clues to Ruddock’s wherabouts should contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Missing Persons Detail at 1.702.828.2907.
