For the second year in a row Utah native Keegan Swenson (SANTA CRUZ) won a thrilling Levi’s Gran Fondo Growler race on Saturday in Windsor, California.

After 138 mixed surface miles and 14,000 feet of climbing the 31 year-old caught and dropped Marcis Shelton and Conn McDumphy in the final kilometer to take home a $25,000 winner’s check. He finished in 5:55:38 with an average speed of 23.3mph.

20 year-old American Marcis Shelton won $15,000 for second place, with Conn McDumphy of Ireland third ($10,000) and Matt Beers from South Africa was fourth ($7,000).

With an epic solo ride former USA National Road Champion Lauren Stephens won the women’s Growler race to also claim a $25,000 check.  The 38 year-old finished in 7:12:36, with a chase group sprinting across the line 19 seconds later.
